Aerial filming for Orbital Marine Power

I was filming with Stramash films as they produce a series of video’s to document the production of a tidal energy turbine which is being floated off the coast of Orkney. We filmed one piece of the massive structure being transported from Cupar to Dundee before being shipping to Orkney. We used the drone to film the structure leaving the fabrication yard as well capturing the convoy going over a bridge en route to Dundee.

The unique challenges of tidal stream energy require an innovative solution to unlock the predictable renewable power from the orbital forces drawing Earth and its planetary neighbours together.
