Drone Pilot Scotland

Five years ago, I collaborated with Dark Energy Films on a Bank of Scotland advert. Now, I find myself back in the Highlands with them, working on a Volkswagen film, capturing footage of a vet on their rounds.

Being a drone operator with Dark Energy Films is about strapping on the headset, taking off, and offering a fresh perspective. Whether it's gliding over hills or darting through valleys, every flight brings a sense of adventure.

Our current project highlights the rugged beauty of the Highlands, as we follow a vet navigating this remote landscape. From misty moors to tranquil lochs, the drone's viewpoint adds depth to the story.

But it's not just about the scenery; it's about capturing emotion too. Finding the right angle to convey the vet's determination or the serenity of nature is crucial.

Working with Dark Energy Films has taught me the importance of teamwork and adaptability. From adjusting to changing weather conditions to coordinating with the crew, collaboration is key.
